Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) is Japans second largest bank. idpm were selected to undertake the complete design and construction of Sumitomo’s Sydney Office fitout.
We were awarded the project due to our ability to undertake technically challenging fitouts and our complete service solution which gave SMBC the confidence the project would be managed efficiently reducing their risk and accommodating all stakeholders and business units.
As a banking institution SMBC have extremely high level security requirements such as 4 hour rated vaults with 2 tonne doors, anti-pass back card readers and seismic sensors, additionally SMBC have specific ITC requirements. Idpm helped develop SMBC global standards for future projects around the globe with our clear documentation and detailing.
